authorization matchcode/searchhelp

Dear Guru's,

A customer wants to have an authorization on the searhhelp/matchcode for customers.
example: user X of sales org. 1000 who uses the searchhelp on customers may only see hits of those costumers which are linked to sales org 1000
I am not very aquainted to authorizatiosn but up till now I have not found any usefull suggestion on the internet.
So far the only solution I see is to use a userexit in the searchhelps/matchcode to filter the customers on user/sales org.
I like toknow if there is a kind of standar solution for my customers problem. And if it is possible I would like some info on it. If it is not possible I like to hear this as well because then I will have to programm the user exit.

Hi,

The only "standard" solution is to use the exit & then apply the relevant logic. In HR there is more granular control provided out of the box but this doesn't extend to other areas.
