Hello!
1. We order a ball (for example).
2. Ball comes in. We do a Goods Receipt in SAP.
3. We hand-write a Receipt tag (part number, serial number, etc.) and stick it on the item (first problem).
4. We enter that info in an Excel spreadsheet Receiving Log (second problem).
5. Item goes to Quality Control for inspection.
6. They hand-write an Accepted or Rejected tag (third problem).
7. They enter the info in a separate Excel spreadsheet (Receipt Inspection Report.) (Fourth problem.)
All of this information is in SAP, but I need it to be on a tag that I can stick to the item.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to streamline this process using SAP to print tags and stop all this external spreadsheeting and hand-writing?
I appreciate your help!
Respectfully,

This is all basic SAP functionality. You need to enlist your I.T. support staff to implement it for you in accordance with your company policies.
Good luck!

Dave,
That doesn't help. My IT's get annoyed by the things they don't consider important, even if thousands of users have to do workarounds for it everyday.
If I come to my ITs with a solution (step-by-step process), they are more receptive.
It's that solution I don't have and was trying to get some info from this forum.
Can you supply more details on where I can look to implement this "basic SAP functionality"?
I appreciate your help!

I appreciate your predicament, but I do not have time to describe these functions and how to configure them in the detail you are seeking. I have my own work to do. In my opinion, what you are asking for is beyond the scope of this forum.
Good luck!

Anyone else know how to print tags?
If you can point me to the proper transaction, I can start from there.
As you can see, any help you provide will benefit many people here.
Thanks!

Does anyone print tags from SAP? If so, what transaction do you use?

I print tags from SAP, but I am going on 3 weeks vacation and won't be able to tell you how until I get back. I hope you still have a job by then.

Bill,
Right now, you are the only resource I know of who prints tags from SAP, so I'll look forward to what you have to offer. Have a good vacation!
Thanks!
