Is it worth to get a Master's Degree in Information technology these days?
I've been thinking about getting one lately. Haven't really researched universities or their curriculum yet
Considering I'm 26, with exclusive experience in ABAP programming, would it be a bad decision to get one?
People usually don't recommend youngish people to go for a postgraduate degree, and I'm afraid my current work experience, coupled with a Master's might make it more difficult to find a job in the future

No.
Do a masters in business instead and become a manager

Well it depends what is the attitude to degrees where you plan to work. In some places like Germany they take it really seriously and you will not even be considered without a degree no matter what skills you have. In US its easier and papers don't matter too much if you know your stuff.
I personally would prefer a Bachelor with 3 years of experience over Master any time.

I got my MSITM in 2006. I believe an MBA would have served me better, but I had an undergrad degree in Chemistry, so I wanted some academic degree that was IT related.
If you undergrad is in computer Science or Information Systems go MBA. Only then would I consider a Masters in Information Technology.
