Hi,

I am a Chartered Accountant in India with 2 years of domain experience with an MNC. I have recently completed my FI Certification from Siemens and now looking for a job.

I have an offer from a leading IT company for an opening in a Support team for one of their leading projects.

I would like to know if it would be appropriate to join this company, take exposure for a year on support and then move on to an actual implementation job? I dont want to be typecast as a person in support and never have the opportunity of being in an implementation team in the future. I'm confused on this one.

Requesting for guidance from experienced professionals.

When you come to a fork in the road, take it

I cant see how we can comment on which direction you should take without knowing your options. If your only opportunity is a support role, take it. If you have a choice between implementation and support, all other things being equal, take the implementation opportunity.

But experience is what matters and the time you spend looking for work does not help at all
Had to move from the UK to Prague to find an English speaking project
