Bryson,

don't you have to revoke US citizenship if you so much as admit you know what soccer is?

Something of like:

"Are you now, or have you ever been, a member of any group or organisation, which understands football as meaning using both your foot and a ball?"

No hands allowed!

Jim

PS And don't upset the kiwis. Every now and then they pause to regret that they stopped eating their enemies.

Maybe because they all think getting their a** kicked is a very real possibility and they don't want to tempt the football gods?

Are you ready for the match against the World Champions?
(actually we don't have a good team this year... I'm quite sure it will be a match like Italy Australia 4 years ago... )

Bryson

it's probably that back home in England, the land of football most of the GD regulars are avoiding the topic as it's too painful for them. This is because their domestic teans have had such a shit season they would rather forget, atleast until the festivities start with a 3-0 win over the colonists.
Sean

I wish you good courage because courage will lead you to be a star and afraid will lead you to death. Be well and patient.

hahahahahaha! not a great season.... but i have more faith in my domestic team than the international one!
they'll get knocked out at the group stage... as Capello has no clue... fancy leaving Bent and taking Heskey, FFS!!!!!
I know Walcott is a one trick pony.. but Heskey is a no trick donkey..... lol! Go on Emile! make me eat my words.... I dare you!!!

No, but mentioning it during a discussion about football requires a renouncement of heterosexuality.

I was watching something on the TV other day and they said the Soccer is the second most played sport in the USA. Basketball is the number one

So if you believe the show I was watching, more people play Soccer in the USA than football.

Probably true, but that's only if you count prepubescents. 3-4 year olds are allowed to kick a round ball, but few under 13 are allowed to strap full pads on. Even Pop Warner doesn't typically start until 8-9 years old.

Why would any self respecting man want to wear body armour when playing a slower and more strategic version of Rugby?
