Production Schedule Adherence - KPI

Dear SAP Fans,
we are on the process of implementing the Production related KPIs and considering the Production Schedule Adherence as one of the KPIs.
This is to measure the right quantity produced by right time to meet the customer's committed delivery date and improve the delivery reliability.
What we are measuring in this KPI is the Planned Process Order quantity Vs Actual Confirmed / Goods Receipt quantity and Scheduled Finish date Vs Actual finish date in monthly periods.
The calculation in %= (Number of orders finished on time or earlier with >= planned process order quantity * 100)/ Number of all process orders completed in that period.

Since we are measuring the quantity variance, in the BW reporting logic we are adding the partial goods receipt quantities of the process order until it reaches the under delivery tolerance (if any); OR will it be a good idea to extract all the process orders with DLV status (as DLV is updated based on the GR quantity, final confirmation, etc) only and then compare the scheduled Vs Actual finished dates so that we can avoid the trouble of adding up all the partial GRs (movt. types 101 & 102)? Appreciate your thoughts

Kindly share if any of you have a more robust logic in measuring the production schedule adherence KPI.
As a right measurement, I believe quality also must be considered in the calculation logic.

Thanks

Harold.
