MRP basic date calculation.

Postby kizzangcy » Sat Feb 16, 2013 11:04 am

Hi, experts.

Here is a simple question.

Does ECC system care in-house production time of component when MRP with basic dates?

For instance like below...

1. Component has 10 days for in-house production time.
2. FG has 8 days for in-house production time.

In this case, the order finish date of FG should be 10 days.
Am I right?

But order finish date of FG on my test system displayed 8 days later than today.
I also considered factory calendar, but I can`t find any clue of this phenomenon.

Thank you.

If you schedule the FG requirement one month after today, how does it calculate the basic dates then? is that correct per your expectation?

If so, then the start from today is happenning because you didn't provide enough time for backward scheduling (and because orders cannot start in the past) - please read the exception message and more details in SAP help about "Today Scheduling" - you'll get the idea.
