MRP run in REM scenario

Postby vijay » Tue Jan 15, 2013 6:28 am

Dear Friends

1. I have done MRP run through transaction MD02 for an SKU which has generated single Planned order for the month and also single PR component wise as per BOM for the month.
2. This SKU is having multiple versions but Planned order is created in 1st version for the total required quantity. It has not bifurcated in various versions.
Requirement :
1. Business requirement is that Planned order should be created date wise based on Rate Routing in all applicable Production versions.
2. Also Purchase requisition should be created automatically based on above day wise split based on various MRP parameters defined in Material master of BOM components.

Please help how this can be achieved and where am I missing the configuration steps.

Kind Regards

VS

Hey, not to sure, as I can´t test now, but did you check with lot-size procedures? You got a lot of settings there, where you can tweak the behaviour.

I don't understand this comment:
"Business requirement is that Planned order should be created date wise based on Rate Routing in all applicable Production versions."

I do know this:
If multiple production versions exist for a given date and lot size, MRP always uses the first one (alphabetically). I seem to remember an OSS note about version selection that may give some alternatives via modification but I don't have time to search for you.
Good luck!
