Planning file with NETPL.

Postby kizzangcy » Wed Jan 02, 2013 3:41 am

Hi, experts.

I can get a right value when I display planning file thr. MD21.

Here is my material master condition for planning file.

Strategy group : 50
Customer requirement: 50 PC, required date is six months from today.
Planning horizon : 100 for plant, MRP group is not maintained.

When I check the planning file thr. MD21 there is flag for NETPL.

As I think of this, planning horizon is 100 days and customer requirement will be need six months from today, so NETPL flag in planning file should not be flaged.

Am I right?
Then why NETPL flag in planning file?

Thanks in advance.
Rgds.

there could be other conditions influencing the planning file entry. For starters, what is your lead time? Is it procurement type E or F?

Dear Ramarao.

Sorry, I just forgot that I put the MRP group into Material master. So Plant parameter including planning horizon has ignored.
BTW, procurement type is 'E' as in-house production.

If you don`t mind could you teach me one more?

Phnomenon is like below...

1. Set the planning horizon as 100 days.

2. To day is 14 Febuary and I put PIR 100pc at October via MD61.

3. Check palnning file and there is no NETPL flag for this material.

4, Back to MD62 and change PIR October to March and then save it.

5. Check planning file and there is NETPL flag for this material.

6. Back to MD62 and change PIR March to October and then save it.

7. Check planning file and there is NETPL flag for this material still exist.

Why flag of planning file doesn`t have changed after flag is marked once?
And How I can change the flag?

Thank you,.

Planing file flags get set when something relevant is changed, like a demand or BOM master data or other relevant planning parameter. The only time when flag is unmarked in planning file is - if planning run is completed, or if it is unmarked manually.

It is the planning run that makes the detailed calculation through a complex logic. There is no intelligence more than the above statements, in flag setting. The flag's intent is to optimize the planning run performance by marking only those items relevant, but it is considered okay to run for a few more materials than to miss even one relevant material in that process.

Hope this makes sense.
