RFQ MRP Element

Postby NigelxXx » Tue Sep 11, 2012 8:55 am

Hi SAP Fans

Can anyone tell me how to activate the RFQ MRP element so that RFQ's appear within SAP transaction MD04?

Thanks
Nigel

Why would you need RFQ as an MRP element?

MRP would create a planned order or a purchase requisition to fulfil the requirement - and that should give purchasing an indication of what to buy - if the source and price are not already decided yet, then they can go through the RFQ and sourcing process.

MRP dashboards like MD04 show the planning world and its balance, not the purchasing world. Purchasing has their own transactions to monitor what stage their process is at a given point in time.

I just verified, and MRP element (data element DELKZ) is available for RFQ (DELKZ = VA) and Quotation (DELKZ = VB) in the standard system in T457T table. I don't readily recollect how this is activated - may be it depends on a MRP type of other parameters... but just for your information.

Will let you know if I come across any useful info,
