CO11N - confirm make-to-order

Postby Conrad1977 » Fri Jun 20, 2008 3:03 am

Dear All,

In production order confirmation CO11N (screen good movements) we see column "Sales order"
and "Sales order item". These columns are greyed so we are not able to modify them. It's clear
since we have created production order via CO01 (not via CO07).

But my question is whether we can have these columns enabled even if the production order
has been created with CO01.

It's because our sales / production process looks like this:

99% of daily production make-to-stock
1% of daily production make-to-order

While we have huge number of materials we don't want to create two
types of production order (one for make-to-stock and one for make-to-order).

Instead - we want to add sales order number / item directly in CO11N whenever we need
(even if the production order was created with CO01).

Is it possible?

Best regards,
Mark

First of all, CO07 is the Tcode for the creation of production order without material. CO08 is the one for prod order related to a sales order.
From my point of view this is not possible to use the same order type for several reasons :
- costing : the sales order is the cost collector for all the costs of the prod order -> you can only define one type of costing method in an order type
- stock : the make-to-order process allocates the goods for the sales order and it is not possible to deallocate them.
...
