Is there any possibility set to CRTD for newly added WBS?

Hi Experts,

We are adding new WBS Elements in already released project. As per the standard functionality system is going to set the system status to REL for newly added WBS Elements also, if the project definition was in Released status. Is there any way to set the system status “CRTD” instead of “REL” for newly added WBS Elements?

Please give solution.

We encountered the same problem and a consultant at ASUG recommended we set the Project Definition and Level 1 WBS as PREL. We manually release the Level 2 WBS elements, so when we add additional Level 2 WBS it looks to the Level 1 WBS, which is in PREL status, and sets the status of CRTD on the new WBS. I hope this makes sense. But it works great for us. We did testing and found no financial roadblocks to setting out Project def and Level 1 WBS as PREL.
