Standard Network Usage Plant Maintenance

Postby walkewo » Thu Jul 14, 2011 2:17 am

I have created a standard network with activity. When I try to make a maintenance work order a subnetwork of the standard network I get a message saying the network does not exist. I'm new to using standard networks and appreciate any help.
Thanks

hello,

a standard network is not an 'operational' object as a maintenance order . Thus it does not make sense to link both.

What do you want to accomplish from a business perspective ?

I have a client that wants to use standard networks as a way to grouping maintenance work orders for painting, shutdowns and such. I've worked with another client that called these floating networks allowing you to change schedule dates on network which would change schedule dates on all the work orders. Also to have a roll up of all the cost to the network.
Thanks

for that, you need an operational network (transaction CN21) instead of a standard network (CN01)

What does it mean that activity 0010 does not exist in template? Thanks for your help.
