weekly funds flow statement for projects

Hello PS Experts,

Given below is the requirement of my client.

There are multiple Projects (Customer projects, investment projects and research projects) running in the organization. Budget is allocated to each project before the project is released. A user status profile is created and assigned to each project and it restricts release of project unless budget is allocated and user status is changed to BUDG.

At any point of time, there could be around 50 projects running in the organization. Cost planning will be done for any new project and after cost planning is saved, it will go for budget approval to Chief Finance officer.

Chief Finance Officer, who is responsible for allocation of budget to projects, would like to see weekly funds requirements/cash flow for all projects (individual project-wise as well as consolidated view for all projects) at any point of time including the projects that are coming for budget approval (projects not yet released).

Important details required in the report are: project number, total budget allocated for the project, funds required for the project for the week in which reports is requested for and total requirement of funds for the week for all running projects.

Funds flow is not activated. Can we get this sort of report (weekly funds flow) if we activate project cash management?

Is there any standard report which provides the details as per the above requirement?

What are the pre-requisites to get a weekly funds flow statement for projects?

Please suggest a solution to meet the above requirement.

"PS cash management" is very simple tool for getting information about project cash (only Q-stock or service activity in purchase requisitions and orders).
So I guess FI-FM module is more suitable for these reqs.
