TECO re-creating commitments (R)

Postby jdc » Wed Nov 17, 2010 11:31 pm

Greetings Folks,

We are having an issue with the setting status TECO regenerating commitments.

We add a material component to the network in CJ20N.
The component was automatically converted to a PR.
The PR was manually converted to a PO.
The GR was completed.
The IR was completed.
We confirm the network activity.

When we set status TECO, the full commitment is recreated.
The “Actual” cost is NOT reduced.
Now, the value is in both the “Actual cost” column and the “Commitment” column of all the reports.
When we try to close the project we receive the message:
“There is still a purchase requisition commitment for WBS XXX-000000,000

Has anybody seen this before?
If yes, how did you remedy the issue?

Thanks in advance and best regards,

J

Hi!

Run the report RKANBU01 and analyze MM-docs assigned to WBSs.

Howdy Greed,

We ran a combination of RKACOR04, CJEN and CJBN to correct the commitment problem.
However, we were able to recreate the problem merely by running through the standard process.

We have learned that we must also perform a delivery (CNS0) and a pick (VL02N) prior to confirming the network and TECOing the structure in CJ20N, then the commitment is recreated.

Oddly enough, we can only recreate the problem in the QA environment and NOT recreate the problem in the Dev environment (?).

If you (or anybody) has any suggestions, please feel free to comment.

Thanks in advance and best regards,

JDC

Greetings All,

After lengthy conversations with OSS, it was discovered to be caused by a customization in the MM side of the world.
Thanks for the suggestions.
