CJ40 and CN41n

Postby jdc » Wed Sep 22, 2010 7:51 pm

Greetings Gurus,

I am looking for a little SAP (the company) logic.

If I plan costs in CJ40, using annual values (e.g. standard planning profile 000001), the planned costs WILL show in CN41N.
If I plan costs in CJ40, using overall values (e.g. standard planning profile 000002), the planned costs Will NOT show in CN41N.

What the ……..?

So, SAP (the company) thinks that if you plan costs using overall values, you must not be interested in viewing planned costs?

The config behind both profiles is exactly the same except for the Total Values/Annual Values tick boxes.
Am I just missing something here?

I'm thinking CJ9FS to copy the project costs - but not totally sure.

Greetings Sapimplementer,

I played around with CJ9FS (and the other CJ9xx t-codes). It appears as though costs can be copied from one version to another version and/or from one fiscal period to another fiscal period but not from an annual cost plan to an overall cost plan.

We would VERY much prefer to enter only an "overall" plan but..... "overall" plans do not seem to be visible in CJ41N.
It would seem that, since CJ41N is the main structure report, costs would be visible regardless of whether the costs were planned on an overall or annual basis.

Thanks for the direction and feel free to express any other ideas you have.

Hmmm…..
By installing note 106823, “only the total of the years (annual cost planning) is displayed”.
So….
In all of SAP’s infinite wisdom, they made a portion of the structure reports useless for companies wanting to use overall planning.

(SAP seems to be saying…”You can have it anyway you want it (as long as you want it the same way we want it.”)
