CATS Time Entry Issue

Post by sappsmm » Tue Jun 23, 2009 7:35 am

Hello All

I am trying to setup CATS for our Engg Grp to charge hrs to Projects.

In Time Entry Profile I have selected following option

Cost accounting Variant --> Activity allocation master/sender

When I charge time against project, I get couple of warning messages for each time entry

The account assignment objects are defined for different business areas

Message no. KI196

Diagnosis

You entered several account assignment objects assigned to different
business areas. In a posting row all account assignment objects must be
assigned to the same business area.

Procedure

Change the account assignment objects if required. The following
business areas have been assigned so far:

Business area Type Object
01CA CTR CA01/164448
18CA WBS XX-100001-1041

When I look at the transferred data in project, I see sender and receiver Cost Center = 164448 and WBS information. Why do I see a receiver Cost Center. Shouldn't my receiving object be Proj WBS

Any suggestions ? What needs to be done to exclude rec. Cost Center info ? I want hrs/cost recovery for Emp Cost center and cost on Project.

Thanks in advance

What are the Default values that you have checked in your data entr profile. Also are you entering time for yourself or for another employee in the engg. dept.
