Inconsistency cur. type 30 & EUR

Hi Gurus,

I am trying to learn PS thru IDES. While trying to plan costs using Easy Cost Planning, I am unable to create cost estimates for WBS Elements, I am getting error message (no. CKBK 044): Inconsistency between currency type 30 and currency EUR. Diagnosis: Combination of currency type 30/ currency EUR to be set as the cost estimate currency. However, this combination is inconsistent. Only currency type DEM is permitted in conjunction with currency type.

Controlling Area currency is EUR and Currency type is 30.

Hi,

I am sure Chris has solved it. But as I came over the same issue and ended up here in 2008 (SAP is moving fast) I thought it is a good place to store my solution.
SPRO Project System ->Costs -> Activate Project Management in Controlling Area
Select Controlling Area 1000 and change Currency Type to "20".
On opening transaction immediately the message comes up that 30 does not work. As all the other options also do not work I used this one.
