Service Notifications.

Postby SAPGuest » Tue Nov 12, 2002 10:16 am

Is anyone else using service notifications in the PM/CS modules? If you are please help me with the following scenario...
Customer A is delivered a Unit 30 days ago and Customer B is delivered a unit 60 days ago. How do I prevent customer B from creating a notification that is older than 30 Days? In this scenario when Customer A calls for a sevice the notification can be creted but when Customer B calls in the system either gives a warning or error to the call taker.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I do not think there is any standard functionality you can use, you will have to consider an enhancement or use of a user exit somehow .....

Sorry :(

Hai,

I'm not sure whether i u'stand yr problem!. Plez ignore if i'm wrong.I hope u'll be referring your units as Equipment. If YES then in your Equipment master there is a option to Enter Customer / Vendor Warranty with provision to enter Warranty Start & End date.
If this Data is filled,Whenever you r creating a Notification (If the Equipment is under warrranty) the system will be giving a "Warranty Check" Pop up screen as Information.

Hope this functionality may help u
thx n regds

Could anyone elaborate on this? I have never worked with Warranties before. Is there a step-by-step guide I can use?
