Automatic Schedule Check Box on Work Order

Peeps. What is going on !

Our order type PM01 for Plant 1000 is configured with the automatic schedule check box to be unchecke.d SPRO ---> Config for PM->M&S Orders->Scheduling->Set Scheduling Parameters. When I create the work order in IW31 the work order header has the box unchecked but when I release then save the work order SAP sets the box to checked. (If I didn't release the work order and then save the box remains unchecked).

I have also performed the same steps in a number of unrelated IDES systems and all behave in the same way. I would have assumed that the content of the check box would follow config and not be checked.

Anyone else have the same behavior or should I consider a new career path.

Hi there.

This is standard behaviour of SAP.
Look at the help of this field:

" The indicator is automatically set when the order is released (not
relevant for networks). If a change relevant to scheduling has been
made, scheduling then takes place when you save the order."
