Material issue for Externally procured services

Postby Dave » Fri Nov 08, 2002 1:17 pm

Hi,

I am running on 4.0B.

I ahve a requirement that when I create services for a PM Order, I want that a certain quantity of Material be reserved by raising a material reservation for that service.

I also want to track the material that has to be allocated per unit of service procured. So there should be a way wherein I can define the materials and their respective quantities that have to be reserved against that service.

Plz do let me know if this can be done, and if yes what are the steps involved.

Thanking you in advance.

Dave.

Hai,

If u r looking for repetitive nature of services then we can meet this requirement thro a task list. Create a General task list with external operation (Control key: PM02) and enter all purchase related data. Services either u can call from yr service master (R) as Free text. Now for this operation attach the required Component with Quantity.

In IW31 u can call this Task list & attach in Maintenance order. By attaching this task list a PR will be created for the Services and similarly Reservation will be created for the attached material against the specific services.

Hope this will help u.
