Authorization checks for Maintenance Strategies

Postby mafe01 » Tue Sep 30, 2014 5:57 pm

Hi all,
First time posting, thank you all for the amount of good info posted here!

Question. I am looking for a way to enhance the security checks around IP11. My client has multiple sites (plants) and they will all be creating their own maint. strategies (lots of them!). I was trying to see if I could add an additional custom check to make the security check more specific to a group to avoid any accidental data issues.

Has anyone faced something like this before? any suggestions on how to approach it? Any user exit that I could use here?

Thanks in advance!

Fernando,

IP11 is normally severely restricted to as fewer users as possible - sometimes only via a global centre of excellence..

The only real way to check this is to determine what data was changed at SAVE, then determine if that user is authorised to change that data.
