End date of Maintenance Plan

Postby yousuf629 » Mon Sep 15, 2014 2:29 pm

Hi All,

When a maintenance plan is created, we enter the cycle, and scheduling epriod accordingly.
Example:Cycle is 5 days, scheduling period is 50 days then it should generate 10 call objects.
Start date is 10/01/2014 so next will be 10/06/2015...till last one being 11/15/2014.

Once I complete the call of 10/6/2014 and do deadline monitoring(IP30), it is taking the day this is run as start date and creating additional call objects , i mean call object 11 is created.

Is there any way we can restrict the number of calls so that if user executes IP30 it does not create any additional call object.

user will not know what is the end date of the maintenance plan, do we have any field or mechanism so that we can know what is the end date of the maintenance plan.Otherwise when ever we execute IP30 it will keep on generating service calls which is incorrect.

Any ideas or recommendations will be appreciated.

Try removing the Rescheduling Incl checkbox in IP30.

Thanks for the reply, have another questions.
We always have the start date but how will the user know the end date of the maintenance plan.

Is there a way to link end date of service contract to end date of maintenance plan.

You can use IP50 to create plans for a service contract item.
