What it does by order generated from Plan via Sales doc"?

Postby Sallyxu » Fri Jul 18, 2014 3:13 am

Hi PM Guru,

I branch off the main topic in another thread of discussion concerning " Maintenance Order will be generated from a Maintenance Plan via a Sales Document (sales contract)".

May I ask what it does by doing it?

Please kindly explain.

This is a Customer Service process which uses IP50 to create maintenance plans for service contracts.

Hi Pete,

Thank you very much for your response.

Does Maintenance Plan from IP50 link to a service agreement in SD module where we can set the expire date?

Pls kindly help.

Sally,

Yes - it links to the SD Contract Item and uses the end date of the Item to stop the plan generating orders.

But there are limitations with these sorts of plans i.e. you can only use General Task Lists, and you cannot use Strategies.
