Maintenance Plan issue

Postby hersam » Mon Apr 28, 2014 4:14 am

Hello All,
I have a scenario that my client wants to be implemented for Mplans.

My client wants to create Maintenance Plan at Functional Location level.
Problem:-
1) The problem is they want all the data recorded at the equipment level. The maintenance plan history will not be recorded at equipment level.
2) Secondly under one FL there are many different types of equipment (e.g filter, slam shut, preheater). Now if the Maintenance plan is created for filter change ( as per the task list group), the call object ( notification) will send all the equipments under the functional location to the notification. And some how I have to send only filter details to the technician instead of all kinds of equipment.

Can you please tell me how can I handle this scenario?

Hersam

This definitely needs a development.

I would look at a batch program that runs after each IP30 run, and updates the orders/notifications accordingly.

Hersam,

As I stated above. It looks like a follow-on batch program is required which runs after IP30 has finished creating the orders.

This batch program then looks for all orders created by the IP30 run, and then updates the orders/notifications as per your requirements.

So a single order for the FLoc could be linked to multiple notifications (one per equipment).

Hello Pete,
So your prosposal is to determine:-
1) determine the equipment under the FL that is to be maintained.
2) update the notification with the equipment details.

In the above scenario, only one equipment will be assigned to the notification/order. But we have a scenario where in we are sending more than 1 equipment in one job.

So what would you like to see the system do?

Hello Pete,
I am thinking of updating the object list in the order with the required equipments.
So when the order is created from the notification ( either in mass or individually), the program should determine the assets/equipmen that needs to be sent out to the technicians.

That's pretty easy to do for the developers.
