LSMW Superior Equipment and Superior FLOC

I have an asset hierarchy in which there will be equipment hierarchies and functional location hierarchies. Some equipment will be installed under FLOCs and some will be installed under other equipment.
What I did was, I ran LSMW for Equipment twice: once for the equipment installed under functional locations and the second for the equipment installed under other equipment.
I have two questions:
1) I wonder whether there was a more practical way to do this within one step?
2) I had only two levels of equipment. But if I had multiple levels like 4 levels of equipment hierarchy, I do not know how to refer the Equipment which was not already created. Let me put it this way: assume that in your equipment file you have EQ1, EQ1.1. and EQ1.1.1.. Theyw will all use internal number ranges and EQ1.1. will be installed under EQ1 etc.. How could I refer these temporary equipment numbers in LSMW so LSMW will keep the internal number after creation of the equipment, replace it with this temporary number and use it for the structure?

Hi,

How did you create the LSMW. Did you used a recording or did you use the IBIP structures.

I supose you can use the IBIP structures very well for this. Look for program RIIBIP00 documentation.

i think you can externally assign the numbers.
i did this when i had seven levels of FLOCs then installed multiple levels of equipment.

i was unable to copy the LSMW but i am sure that is what we did and we only ran it once.

It definitely works with External Numbering - that's this weeks job for me...

But I can't see how LSMW would get the Internal Number before creating the next sub-equipment???
