Classification, ex. characteristics for measurement documents; unless of course you use ALE to "transport" them from one system to the other.

Hi PJA,

Some points -how to collect/ load historical data - like
i) spares consumption- i could not cover this because of non availiblity of data.
ii) Equipments down time details entry ( IW21- BDC and make file ready for loading these datas).
iii) Check for Non Valuated material codes ( which we are going to use for refurbishment and external repair).
and current stock verification.
iv) Plan masters Due date of maintenance of each tasks based on current schedule list.

Thanks & Regards,

Hi,

I'm not very familiar with ABAP but what i understand a set is a kind of variable refering to a field table for which you can store values, and can be used in programs (ex : you can create a set for PM order type and record some values for which you want to perform a function).
It is created with tcode GS01 (create sets).
Hope it helps,
Arnaud.

Does anyone out there load "historical" orders?

The amount & type of data you may require loaded depends on whether you are implementing PM at same time as other modules -- or in a follow-on --- Yes?
