Reversal of Quality Usage Decision - Very Urgent!!!!!

Post by kal_sap » Sat May 31, 2003 6:04 am

Hi,
I've a basic setting for quality usage decision for goods receipt w.r.t PO.
On receiving goods w.r.t PO, the goods are transferred to quality inspection and once the goods are released from quality the goods sit in the unrestricted usage (321 movmt. type)
My problem is, if a material is released by mistake from quality I want to reverse the quality release and the material should go back to quality inspection.
I've tried reversing the release document through MBST transaction, but it's not allowed in the system. I've also tried to reset the usage decision but that's also not allowed.
Can anyone help me out with this problem as I'm really stuck and want a solution real quick.

Thanx in advance.

Kalyan.

UD u must very carefull.

conclusion:
NO WAY to reverse the UD
u must put in block stock or any special stock to put a side first (not mix
with unrest.stock) --> insp.lot wont created automatically

Reversal of Usage Decision!!

Post by kal_sap » Mon Jun 02, 2003 11:31 pm

Hi all,
To answer my own question of reversal of Usage Decision. It is possible, but not as an SAP standard process.
There is a report called RQEVAC50 which should be copied into a user-defined executable program.

Other settings to be done:

1.) Use Transaction OMJJ to enter further entries in level 'Allowed
transactions' (table T158B) for transaction code 'QA11' (Record Usage
Decision)

2.) The movement types for which these entries must be created are derived from the system settings for the goods movements for the usage decision (table TQ07M):The reversal movement type must be determined for every movement type that is entered in table TQ07M with the key VMENGE01 - VMENGE09 and the corresponding entry must be included in the above-mentioned table

3.) You can use table T156N for determining the reversal movement type:You can determine the reversal movement type by entering the movement type (BWART) and function code (FCODE) ST (BWART_NEXT).For missing entries, the system generates error M7096 'Goods movement not possible with mvmt type &'

After making above settings, run the user defined executable program. Enter the inspection lot no. to be reversed and execute the code. On successful reversal of UD a message will appear at the bottom.

Hope this is useful to everyone who have faced a similar problem to mine.

Thanx.
Kalyan.

P.S : The report RQEVAC50 as such does not exist in the SAP system. The code for the report is part of the correction instruction (0000298389) for the note (175842) in SAP OSS. The above process is for release 4.6C. For 3.0F there is an additional process which is given in the correction instruction mentioned.

i believe there is a much easier way of doing this.
in material master you should remove the tick from QM inspection data in the QM view.
in order to do this, you have to delete inspction type from the inspection data. u need to have zero stock in inspection to do this.
when u achieved this, u can use movement 322, tranzaction mb1b to reverse the usage decision, which is mvt 321
do not forget to put back the Qm inspection data after you finished what you are doing.
hope this helps.
such is life

Reversal of UD

Post by kal_sap » Tue Jun 03, 2003 11:50 am

Hi gri,
I agree that your suggestion is a much simpler one. But the scenario I'm talking about is where the user has to reverse a UD a bit frequently. I know this sounds crazy as process of release from quality is a very sensitive and important function, but that's the way the situation stands at.
So I think looking at a more permanent solution the process I suggested is a better one.
Hope you agree with me on that!!!

Anyway thanx a lot for your tip. I think it will be of great use in a different situation.

Once again thanx a lot gri.

Hi Kalyan,

The solution that we have implemented in our companies was that we will use normal and standard MIGO Transaction with Movement Type 103 (Block stock) and then 105 (Release from Block Stock). This will enable us to use as frequently as intended and more importantly, we do not have to do 'heavy' configuration setting.

Cheers,

Reversal of Quality UD

Post by kal_sap » Wed Jun 04, 2003 11:27 pm

Hi ABPN,
The report which I mentioned (RQEVAC50) does not exist in the SAP system.
It is found in SAP OSS. If you have access to SAP OSS, login and refer to note no. 175842 and the correction instruction for that note.

Make an executable program of your own and copy RQEVAC50 report into your code and make the settings which I mentioned in my earlier mail.

Hope this helps.

Hi
Can anybody give me more information on doing steps 2 and 3? the SAP Standard values for these tables are there, I don't know what must be added as I get the error message when doing the transaction.

TRANSFER01 323 301
TRANSFER02 323 311
VMENGE01 321 311 105
VMENGE02 553 551
VMENGE03 331 333 333
VMENGE04 350 344
VMENGE05 350 344
VMENGE06 321 Z09
VMENGE07 122 122 124
(Example of what entries must be added?)

3.) You can use table T156N for determining the reversal movement type:You can determine the reversal movement type by entering the movement type (BWART) and function code (FCODE) ST (BWART_NEXT).For missing entries, the system generates error M7096 'Goods movement not possible with mvmt type &'
RL 321 322 1
RL 322 321 1
SS 321 322 2
SS 322 321 2
SSR 321 322 1
SSR 322 321 1
ST 321 322 2
ST 322 321 2
What must be added?

Thanx
