Default return item

Postby akrason » Wed Apr 13, 2016 11:03 am

Hi,

How can I efficiently default "Checked" box value at EKPO-RETPO?
My need is to have (some) POs to be return to vendor orders.
I do not have the impression that playing around with ME21N screen layout is the answer.
Anything else?

Hi,

Wouldn't it be more logical to use the original PO in support for your vendor return instead of using the return PO? Of course, it is technically feasible that you can define the new return document type for which you can configure your system to set this field as mandatory so that end user will have to flag it during return PO maintenance.

Cheers,

Hi Ha,

Thanks for your reaction.
In fact the process concerned is not just limited to procurement returns.
The issue is more complex (intercompany customer service repair with/without actual return to production unit of replaced parts).
Thus any straightforward and default values would allow conceiving background processing at business unit where the guys are not that many to spend time on non-core business processes.

Hi,

If this is the case, then I would suggest you to look at the use of system enhancement via either BAdI or user exit where the default setting in this field will be carried out in accordance with your custom logic.

Cheers,
