WM Prog RLREOLPQ in Batch [CLOSED]

Postby monty carlo » Fri Dec 11, 2015 9:01 am

Hi everybody,

Before the end of the year I will be running the RLREOLPQ programme to reorganise/reset the inventory count indicator for a number of warehouses.
I've had a look around on this site (and deeper into the internet) and there is enough information for me to be able to run this without further functional help (I hope!). However, in one of the help.sap.com items it was mentioned that it should be run in batch "for technical reasons" (see the link below)

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005/hel ... ameset.htm

I was reasonably confident that I could just let it go for each warehouse in the foreground, but now I'm having second thoughts.

Does anybody know if this needs to run in the background?
Or what the "technical reasons" might be that SAP refer to?

Many thanks
MC

Just in case anybody has been wondering how this turned out;

I never did find an explanation for why this needed to be run as a background job.
However, I made the decision to follow the suggestion from SAP and ran each warehouse variant of this in batch, with immediate processing selected.
My reason for doing this was so that I would have a record of all the executions with their spool numbers/output and runtimes etc. available from SM37

This question is now closed as far as I'm concerned.

Regards
MC
