GI to maintenance WO at price different from inventory price

Postby ab257 » Mon Jun 01, 2015 9:16 am

Has anyone ever put in a process where a goods issue to a work order (MIGO 261) comes in to the order at a different price than what is on the accounting tab of the material master?
For example if a material has a moving average price of $15, but when we issue it to an order we want to bring it in at the last purchase price (for example) of $20?
If so, how was it implemented and how were the price variances handled?

Thanks for any info or suggestions.

Hi,

This does not make sense to me at all as it goes against the financial accounting rule. The fact is that the material, before goods issue posting, has already been valuated in accordance with the MAP. Once the goods issue is posted which results in the stock quantity reduction, the issued quantity shall be valuated at the same latest MAP instead of the last PO price.

Cheers,
