301 from valuated to non valuated plant. CO error in MIGO

Post by ollkk » Mon Feb 11, 2013 6:56 am

Hi there

I have a valuated material in plant A. I set the material type to non-value updating in plant B and then extended the material to plant B (with no FI or costing views in plant B). When I transfer stock using a 301mvt from plant A to plant B, I am getting one of those "account requires assignment to a CO object" errors. What am I missing?

thanks for any suggestions.
Thanks,

Oll

the system needs to post the value of the material removed from 'valuated stock' ... since there is a delta between the value in one plant and the value in the receiving plant [= 0] this will generally be a varaince account
there is a configuration table [t-code OKB9] that controls this ... check the accoutn/cost element to be posted for the stock transfer variance ... profit center is probably mandatory and its details will specify the cost center for the psoting
[this is really a CO issue]

Hi,
Most likely one of the G/L accounts to be posted needs to be assigned to a cost center.
Or a cost center might have to be entered on line level.
