Change Acct Asgn when creating PO with reference to Contract

Postby beruska22 » Mon Jun 11, 2012 4:37 pm

Hello All -
I created a value contract with item category D (Service) and account assignment U (unknown). I have a service item with associated services beneath.

When I create a PO via ME21N with reference to the contract and add the line item and then add the services via the Service Selection, I am not given the choice/option to change my account assignment. The acct assign box is grayed out on the PO line item. I want to be able to charge it to a specific item. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?

Thanks
Jane

Hi,

You have to manually enter the account assignment category first before selecting the contract and hit Enter.

Hi Ha -
When I put a K (cost center) in the line item in the PO in ME21N and then hit Enter and then I add the contract to the PO line item, it changes the K to a U.

If I put a K in a new line and then do the adopt or drag & drop function from the Document Overview, the item gets added as a new line.

Do you have any other solutions?

Hi,

What you should do in ME21N is to manually enter ''K'' account assignment category, item category ''D'', short text description, delivery date, material group, plant and contract number (and contract line item number) and then hit Enter. Let me know again how it goes.
