Hi Gurus
I'm working on maintaining IMG table for commodity code in material master page "Foreign trade import". The IMG route is matrerial management -->Foreign trade/customs-->Basic data for Foreign trade-->define commodity codes. The case is that I have 200 commodity codes to put in but unfortunately I can only input them one by one via adding lines. How can I do it a even a little smarter?
Thank you very much for any input
Best, Yu

you can load commodity codes with transaction VE94 and VI94 or VA94, it is in the standard menu Logistics > MM > foreign trande > data service > service > load > .......

Hi svetja
Thank you for the help but can you please give a little more instruction? I keep getting error message of "Distance does not correspond to defined length" in VEU4 (for country CN). By the way, I have defined length of commodity code to 10.
Best, Yu

Hi svetja
I have been reading the instructions but still got a problem unsolved - it's the upload source file. How should I specify the path? As the HELP says I put as follows -
Source file - d:\1.rtf Source drive - d Subdirectory - I have left this field blank because I can't find the system parameter "dta/allow" and that's also why I don't put a subdirectory in the path of source file
The file content is like this -
1111111111 Sample Text1 2222222222 Sample Text2
Data Record Structure is like this -
Initial item goods no. 1 Final item goods no. 10 Initial item goods text 13 Final item goods text 24
But I don't understand where I'm wrong and it simply doesn't work.

try it with this entries: Source file - 1.rtf Source drive - d Subdirectory - no entry
If a rtf file is suitable I cannot tell you, I usually use txt files.

Dear Svetja, I tried with data below: 800 sample1 text1 1234567890 sample2 text2 set as you mentioned, it seems the data can be uploaded into SAP, but there is no commodity code, only description. I don't know what happened...........Would you please send a example of your upload data to me? Thanks in advance. BR, Danica

Dear Svetja, Thanks for your reminder, I really read the info, but I neglected one point of define commodity code length, I was thought since we costomzing this item long time before, we should have done this alreday. I was wrong. After I define the length of it, it works well. Thank you so much~~ BR, Danica
