Block posting stock transfer form 1 till other batch?

Post by Bram » Tue Oct 02, 2007 2:42 am

In SAP, it is possble to post using a stock transfer from one batch numebr to another particular batch number, if both exist. My customer wants to block this possibility. As far as I see, this is standard and I do not see a user exit.

Does anybody now a solution.

Many thanks in advance.

User exit EXIT_SAPLMBMB_001 should be your solution: it is called upon just before the commit work of the goods movement. It can't do any updates, but it should be able to produce an error message when someone tries to post a 309 batch to batch.

As far as I see, the commit can't be stopped with a message, I even didn't succeed in getting a message when setting a debug, so in my opinion, this user exit will not work.

Setting an error message should stop everything.
If an error message would be set, the only way to leave the transaction would be command "/N" or something like it.
