Direct sales to customer

Post by jimsap » Wed Sep 26, 2007 12:06 pm

I am doing a Drop-ship scenario for a material. The material is sold to the customer directly from the vendor. The scenario is working well.
However, I have an issue. I cannot prevent the material to be accidentally brought into inventory. How would I block a drop-ship material to be brought into inventory?
Am I missing Config or master data?
Thank you

You could try to limit the possible sales order item categories to the drop-ship scenario for the concerned material.
In the purchase order, only the user exits offer a possible solution for your problem.

Hi Bart,
Could you elaborate, please.
Is there another possiblity of creating a material type which has not plant stock?
Thank you

In the material master, yo would rather have special item category group BANS so that the sales item category would be TAS or a copy thereof.

You could limit the sales item categories so that only TAS would be possible.

In purchasing you should use the available user exits to check you only buy in the allowed way.
