Sales Order item Detail Characteristics - UserExit

Postby stjacqd » Wed Sep 13, 2017 7:52 am

Hello everyone

I would like to know which, in VA01/VA02, user-exit and internal tables can be used to change the item detail characteristics values before save.

I try to find an internal table containing the characteristics values in the MV45AZZ form userexit_save_document_prepare without success.
The following internal tables are empty:
SALES_CFGS_REF
SALES_CFGS_INST
SALES_CFGS_PART_OF
SALES_CFGS_VALUE
SALES_CFGS_BLOB

We need to populate some item characteristics with values based on different values entered in vbap.

For now, I didn't find any internal table containing the characteristics values of the items.

Using function VC_I_GET_CONFIGURATION or VC_I_GET_CONFIGURATION_IBASE is useless in VA01 because the configuration is not saved yet in table IBIN.

All suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Regards
Daniel

I would create reference characteristics pointing to the vbap fields. Then (if necessary) use dependencies with your translation logic to populate target characteristics.
Good luck!

Hello Sharpshooter

Than you for your reply.

Can you please develop your suggestion?

I don't understand your approach.

What do you mean by "create reference characteristics pointing to the vbap fields"?
