SO - 2 Line Item automatically appears

Postby nagaret01 » Tue Apr 07, 2015 11:11 pm

Dear All,

Incident Summary
In Create Sales Order VA01.
When user enters Material 1234 at Line Item 10
Automatically, systems gives another Line Item 11 with same Material 1234.
Line Item 10 is with Item Cat TAPA
Line Item 11 is with Item Cat TAN

Question
Where is the config or master data that automatically picks 2 line item.
Is this TAPA gATP relevant Item Cat?

Thank you.
Regards.

Hi

Your second line comes from material determination AKA product selection. Seems kind of pointless that someone created a material determination record that with the same material.

The config is in item category determination ( T184) where you should see an entry for your order type, item category group, usage = PSA2, level item = TAPA and default item category is TAN. Since material determination is a substitution scenario, the first item is typically not relevant for availability check nor transfer of requirements because it is the second line that is physically sent to the customer. You can confirm that by finding what schedule line category is assigned to TAPA and then look up ATP config to see if that schedule line cateogry has ATP and/or Transfer of requirement enabled or not.

Oops, should read more carefully. I missed the g in gATP. Looks like you are using APO and me not knowing much about APO means that my comments about schedule line, ATP and transfer of requirements you can ignore.

As to where in config to find trigger of second it is still in item catefory determination. Instead of usage = PSA1 your usage would be APO2 or APO3
