Availability check and Storage Location Change in Sales Orde

Postby vikasguptakota » Wed Dec 17, 2014 10:29 am

Hello Friends
My client has a requirement. There are 14000 sales order line items where Storage Location is blank and needs to be updated. I know this can be done by MASS transaction and also from VA05. But client does not want Availability Check to rerun again when Sloc is updated.

Does anyone know if Availability Check is rerun when SLoc is updated in Sales Order?
Also if we use LSMW for this purpose, will the Availability Check be carried out again?

Thanks in advance

Hi

Yes, if you change storage location, ATP will run again because the confirmed qty is always the lesser of ATP qty between storage location and plant level. I am not a 100% certain but this may work. Set the fix date and quantity flag on the sales order line (VBAP-FIXMG). This will lock in the date and quantity for the schedule lines. VBAP-FIXMG is available to MASS so that helps. You may have to do this in 2 passes. First, set VBAP-FIXMG. Then change the storage location on the second pass ( hopefull, that will not reset FIXMG).

Changing FIXMG will also trigger a new availability check, unfortunately.
Good luck!
