Batch Determination and < > Results (ATCOD)

Dear All,

Could someone kindly confirm standard SAP batch determination behaviour handling of results with < > symbols. My client's system has been customized and cannot be used to identify standard SAP behavior. If any portion of the result overlaps any portion of the specification - the result passes in our system. Is this standard?

Examples:
Result <100. Specification <10. Valuation Accept. (Client requirement is to reject)
Result <5. Specification 4 - 6. Valuation Accept. (Client requirement is to reject)
Result >3. Specification 4 - 6. Valuation Accept. (Client requirement is to reject)
Best Regards,
Larry
