Offset Wrong Invoice

Dear All,

Please help if you have any idea for this.

Invoice A was cancelled and replaced by invoice B.
However, due to system error, both invoice A & B in outstanding.(FBL5N)
And, finance had offset the payment with A instead of B.
So, now B is still in outstanding & account statement.

Appreciated for your shared ideas on this issue.

I would advise you to use SAP terminology: "cleared, open" instead of "offset, outstanding".

If you have cleared payment against wrong invoice, you can reset clearing (FBRA, without reversal) and then clear the correct documents against each other (F-32).
Don't forget to reverse the wrong invoice (FB08 or some SD transaction).

Thanks for your reply and advice on SAP terminology.

After processed FBRA & F-32, the wrong invoice still in open account.
Although it had reversed & cancelled at logistic side (WTEW), but the reversal didn't posted in Accouting FI transaction (unknown system error).

Please advise how to remove this cancelled invoice from the open account.

I think the issue is in unposted FI document from WTEW document.

I will move this topic into SD forum for further advice.
