Can a B1 specialist support R/3?

Postby hamiltonblake » Thu Feb 10, 2011 8:12 am

Experts:

I am currently recruiting a SD, MM & WM support role on R/3 4.6c. I have been told by a SAP B1 consultant who has applied for the role that many of the configuration aspects and integrations points are similar.

I am dubious though, are there even integration points in B1?

My knowledge of B1 is that it is a condensed version of SAP, and was a product bought by SAP rather than designed by it.

Can anyone advise the functional/technical overlaps/differences from R3 and B1?

Please note I'm a recruitment consultant, and although I specialise in SAP my knowledge is mostly surface deep.

Cheers
