Career Advice of Migrating to SAP

Postby hutchkishore » Mon May 30, 2011 1:02 am

Hi ,
I am Kishore having 4 years of experience in Manufacturing which involved both Sales and as well as Production & Planning.
After that I moved to IT and I am currently working as a Automation Software Tester for past 3 years which involves VB Scripting.
But my interest for manufacturing still haunts me and I also want to be involved in the IT industry. Then I felt that SAP ERP would be a better choice. I have planned to take up either PP or SD modules.

The next confusion is where should I take up the course. I am put up in Chennai, India. Here there are 3 institutes like Siemens, NIIT both of them are authorized training partners. But none of them gives any job guarantee.

Then I recently came across anothe company called Hages Business solutions which is located in Chennai, Trivandrum and Ahmedabad. They also charge like NIIT and Siemens (around 3 lacs) but they say that they give job gaurantee and a stipend for 1 year I guess. but they say they will consider as a fresher only. Has anyone come across this company or got placed thru this company. Is this company genuine or authorized training partner for SAP. how can i find it out. I couldnt find any reviews for this company in the net.

I also came thru lot of other instiutes like Reliance Global Solution, Tech Innova, Raffles etc where they charge only 20-30,000 INR

Pls guide me whether my path and selection of modules is correct or not. If correct which of the modules is supposed to have better prospects either SD or PP.

If u have any good training centers in and around channai also pls let me know.

Thanks
Kishore

i would never trust a company that could guarantee a job!

i would suggest working in a company with SAP and gain experince that way. then do some training. maybe even the company you work for may sponsor the training.

Dear Kishore,

Its always better go through a recognized partner of SAP.(Siemens,Genovate etc).

I am certified PP consultant and got job through Siemens once the course is completed. It involves some financial burden, but certainly will do good once you complete the course successfully.I know lot of people who got placed through siemens once the course got completed,

Going for SD or PP module is your choice and as per your interest. But important thing is to get yourself better and better in your area as the years passed. So good luck and go ahead !

Regards
George

Dear Kishore,
Make an online survey for the query regarding finding a perfect institute for doing a course, this will be the best help you will get :)
