Career path advise for breaking into SAP

Post by anandsandy » Thu Apr 09, 2009 9:05 am

Hello,

I have been considering training in SAP for sometime but am not able to decide on the right path based on my profile.
Need serious advise from knowledgeable folks or someone with a similar background on what will be the best route to take.

I have been a retail banker from 10 years performing business development roles as a loan origination manager, branch banking manager managing cash and teller and clearing operations. Then for some 7 years as a functional Business Analyst part of IT teams in investment banking on Wall Street working with traders and business people supporting trading front end systems.

Appreciate if you can opine on SAP paths where I could leverage my profile. Not really looking to reinvent my profile to start from ground up again but if experience plus SAPXX can open doors even as a junior is fine.

Eagerly look forward to hearing from gurus.

Sandy

Thank you for the link.
It seems that the banking solutions has not had much traction in USA.
Can someone here provide some more insight?
