Alert rules - negative conditions

Postby hodbod » Thu Jul 28, 2011 3:11 am

Hello guys
First thank you all for forum such this one, where are always good tips and tricks and mostly good answers.

I've folowing problem in Alert system rules. I was looking for some info in different forums but with no success (probably I have wrong key words  )

I have 2 Alert category

GENERAL_ALERT
GROUP1_ALERT

Now let say I have 5 receivers namespaces (but in the future it can grow up)

NameSpace1
NameSpace2
NameSpace3
NameSpace4
NameSpace5

Now I'd like to define conditions like that

GROUP_ALERT1
receiver namespace = NameSpace1 .... this is easy and it is working now.

BUT

GENERAL_ALERT for all others ->
receiver namespace <> NameSpace1

I have absolutely no ida if it can be done like that or have I to do it 1 by 1 for each namespace?

Do you have any idea.

Thank you very much for any help

i am not aware you can do and "if, Else" but you can certainly do this based upon specific sender and receivers - see table ALXMBPFALERT.

have a look at this SAP help (if you have not seen this already)

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/help ... ameset.htm

You maybe able to dynamically change the message based upon the CONTAINER contents....

Hello Baz
thank you very much for your answer. Yes this is what I was thinking about as other solution with using CCMS.

I will try that, thanks a lot
