Generic IDOC format transfer through PI

Postby stevemdaw » Wed May 11, 2011 6:29 am

Hi all,
We are currently implementing a relationship with a third party which will involve the transfer of multiple formats of idocs. No manipulation of the idocs is ever necessary, what comes out of the backend system, must be sent to the third party. If we need to introduce a new message type to pass through to the third party, I don't want to have to configure a new scenario in PI. The sender and destination are the same, and no mapping will be needed, so is there a way that I can configure one scenario which will work with any idoc format. This means that I won't have to include PI resource in any future initiatives to implement a new message type. The third party don't care about me doing any different, they just want to receive the idoc.

Any ideas of the best way of handling this?

Thanks
SMD.

just remember to use the inbound IDOC adapter and make sure that the Logical System in the Business System from the SLD has the correct value for processing.
