Shopping Cart automatic creation from MRP PR

Postby srmfanaticinal » Tue Mar 24, 2009 8:52 am

Could someone steer me in the right direction for setting up an automatic shopping cart creation in SRM coming from MRP generated Purchase Reqs in the R/3 system?

Thanks,

Scott

I am assuming you are using SRM in Extended Classic scenario. The SRM scenario " Plan driven procurement" handles the procurement of stock material via SRM .You can find the detail configuration documents in SAP market place service.sap.com/IBC then select MySAP SRM -> Plan Driven Procurement.

Below are some quick points:
Configuration in the backend system:
1. Maintain Profile for External Procurement
2. Control External Procurement
You can find these 2 steps under Spro -> Integration with other MySAP components -> SRM -> Plan Driven Procurement

Based the condition you defined above, system decides the procurement profile in the requisition and which SRM system you want to transfer PR. Then you need to schedule a report BBP_extreq_transfer standard report to transfer this PR to SRM.

In SRM system you need to define the RFC user in the SRM OM , and assign a purchasing group and responsibility. And also you need set your sourcing configuration.

SAP provides user exit and BADI for Plan driven procurement, using little bit of development effort you can really improve this standard functionality, like more robust criteria to select procurement profile and updating more details in the requisition before transferring the PR.

Hope this will help.

Thanks
