Invoke a process from event

Postby kickboard » Thu Oct 02, 2008 7:13 am

I am new to SRM and my exposure to workflow is limited. What I am trying to achieve is to kick off a function module from the save of a PO or shopping cart. In ERP this was done by using tran SWEC to call a function module with the change object for the relevant business object.. So when a PO was saved or changed the function was executed (the function would interrogate the PO and submit a background job if nec). I need to replicate this activity in SRM when a po (BUS2201) or shopping cart (BUS2121). I see that the events kick off the relevant approval workflows in PFTC, but would hope to avoid delving into changing these if possible. Any advice greatfully received. Thank You

I'm not sure if you are talking workflow or just somewhere to launch a process when a document is saved, so I am assuming that later and recommend the following BADis:
BBP_DOC_SAVE_BADI, BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI, BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI

I hope this helps.

Regards, Dean.
