Who should own/maintain PPOMA_BBP

Hi,
We are implementing SRM 5.0 and I would like to get some guidance on who should be maintaining PPOMA_BBP. As this is not configuration but more like master data/transaction data, we feel (in the IT Center Of Expertise supporting SRM) that this should belong to a system admin in the procurement organization. However, our business leads are pushing back and saying that this should belong to IT.

Both. But the first customizing should be made by SRM Consultants, then it depends on the Processes. Do you plan to use Replication from HR?

Then you just need to discuss the areas of responsibility regarding the maintenance of attributes in the org. model.
Usually it is done mostly by 1st, 2nd level support, but not by the Consultants.

Could you please let me know from your experience what kind of process was implemented to maintain PPOMA_BBP on an on-going basis?

Hi,

Usually we use 3-Leveled Support processes.
1st Level - User help desk
2nd Level - More experienced colleagues, they are responsible for the investigations of the errors in the System
3rd Level - SRM Consultants and Technical Consultants - responsible for the development/corrections and business-processes implementation.

In case of Org. Model support. We make it in the following way. 3rd Level Support makes the pre-Customizing of the Org. Model and makes a Handbook for User Help desk. In this Handbook all necessary attributes, their values and influence on the processes are described. Then, all the activities, regarding the Org. Model support can be made by 1st Level Support (or by end-customer) according to business requirements. 2nd and 3rd Levels (and BASIS of course) are responsible for the correct sync. with HR.

Hi, what do you mean?.. All levels are IT people, at least basic knowledge of PC's and Procurement.
