Invoicing Plans in SRM?

Postby gar » Wed Jun 06, 2007 10:01 am

Hello,

We are running Extended Classic, SRM 5.0, Self Service Procurement and I am looking for the possibillity to add an invoicing plan to a purchaser order in SRM, but I cannot find it.

Does this functionality not exsist?

Inv plans

We have the same problem ie. you can't (yet) create inv. plans in SRM - the workaround is to train the users to create them in R/3.

Thank you for the reply, but as we run Extented Classic, the PO in R/3 is non changable.

Huh ?

I mean that we create Invoice Plans in R/3 (doc. type ZI) with ME21N & run MRIS & MLRP etc. to generate the invoices & update the plans.
Works fine with Ext. Classic, as it doesn't touch EBP/SRM.

Yes, that is ok. Sorry for beeing unprecise in my answer.

Problem is that we are not going to let the users access R/3, we only want to use SRM

I realize this is a very old posting, but I ran across this same issue in the past. We handled 2 ways...

Added new fields and logic in SRM for the per frequency amount times the duration... for example 12 months at $100/month. We stored the full amount on the PO in SRM and then fed the applicable information over to R/3 to automatically create the invoice plan. We had to make some changes in a BADI though because R/3 does not allow changes... we coded it so the R/3 PO could be changed by the BADI, but not by the end user.

The other option is we custom built recurring payments in SRM. This was extremely robust... way better than R/3's invoice plan functionality. However, building this was extremely complicated and the testing was even worse. We had to full integrate with invoicing as well because we entered invoices into SRM. If you enter invoices in R/3 instead that would simplify things greatly.

If I had to do this over again, I would go with the first option for sure.

If you want any details, please let me know.
